HERITAGE CENTER OF TEMPLE BETH SHALOM
Temple Beth Shalom is proudly launching an exciting and ambitious project to be known as the Heritage Center. It will serve to acknowledge and celebrate the unique and shared Jewish American heritage of the TBS community.

The vision of this important endeavor has three goals:
One: Programming
Temple Beth Shalom has always taken pride in its excellent educational programs. The Heritage Center intends to maintain that exceptional quality, while offering a range of programs for a multigenerational and community wide audience. Efforts are also focused on chronicling our history and individual heritage.
Two: The Center
The TBS House Committee and Heritage Committee are planning to identify existing space within the synagogue to house a small collection of professionally curated objects to represent the many narratives of who we are and where we came from.
Three: Tikkun Torah
This will be the cornerstone of the Heritage Center project. We are fortunate to be the home to many Torahs, however, some of them have the signs of wear and tear that now require tender loving care. This is the opportune moment to ensure that the Torah that has been selected for restoration is respectfully and lovingly repaired by the community that ultimately depends on its teachings.
The Heritage Center is a project of vision with many small steps to be taken toward the goal of building a living and lasting record of our past, present and future Jewish identity.
