High Holy Days 2024 / 5785

The High Holy Days at Temple Beth Shalom are an especially meaningful and spiritual time for our members and they will be here soon. Our services will be led by Rabbi Cohen, Cantor Fine and Cantor Knoller, and will be held in person as well as via our Live Stream link.

On this page, you can view the High Holy Day schedule, request member tickets, purchase guest tickets and enter names in the Book of Remembrance. **We must receive these completed forms by Tuesday, September 3rd.**

Tickets are available for use by TBS members and their children, ages 13 – 26 (as of September 1, 2024). Children age 12 and under do not require tickets.

Guest tickets are available for $180 per ticket for children of TBS members age 26 and older, married children, and relatives of TBS members. Young adults who are age 26 and older are not considered TBS members as part of their family’s membership; they may apply for membership on their own, at a reduced rate, or tickets may be purchased for them.

Please note: We are unable to accept ticket requests for former TBS members and their families. Tickets are non-transferable.

Tickets will be issued only to members in good standing who are current in their financial obligations for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2024. If you have extenuating circumstances or are unsure of the status of your financial account, please contact our financial office at (973) 992-3600.

Please remember: The acceptance of High Holy Day tickets obligates you to your respective 2024/2025 full year’s membership dues.

Tickets will be mailed to you in time for the High Holy Days. If you need assistance completing any of the forms, please contact the TBS office at [email protected] or (973) 992-3600.

Services for Children & Families

A Family Service for preschool and kindergarten families will be held at TBS at 10:00 am on the first and second days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur. Children in grades 1-6 are encouraged to attend Junior Congregation, which will be arranged through the TBS Religious School.

Jews throughout the world traditionally take time to remember their loved ones during the High Holy Days. Temple Beth Shalom continues this tradition through the preparation of our annual Roll of Remembrance, which will be shared on Yom Kippur

The 2023 Book of Remembrance form is now closed. To add your name to an addendum that will be placed on our website, please email [email protected]. In your email, make sure to include the following:

– Name of each person who you are remembering, i.e., Abraham Cohen

– The person’s relationship to you, i.e., Father, Grandfather

– Who is remembering that person, i.e., Sarah and Isaac Cohen & Family

– The amount you would like to donate, if applicable. We will bill your account.
