Welcome to the Fran & Howard Muser Religious School
Developing Positive Attitudes Toward Jewish Tradition & Values
Our overall goals are to provide our students with the knowledge and love of the Hebrew language, Bible, Israel, Jewish history, Jewish customs, rituals, and values as well as the make-up of the Siddur and the synagogue service. We want our children to develop positive attitudes toward Jewish tradition and Jewish values. Our program transmits the ideals and ideas inherent in Judaism in numerous exciting and creative ways.
By providing a loving and supportive atmosphere in which our children can study about their heritage, we hope to instill in our students a sense of pride in who they are and a feeling of responsibility and caring for the continuity of the Jewish people.
Curriculum & Faculty
Our curriculum is a spiral one in which the older grades review what was taught in the past and learn new skills, ideas, and concepts that add on to the prior ones. Various textbooks, supplemental materials, and teaching aids enhance all aspects of our curriculum.
Most of our faculty also teach at Jewish day schools throughout the area and, therefore, can supplement the curriculum to an even higher standard. Our teachers are certified and trained in the TaL AM curriculum currently used in area day schools and bring 21st-century learning skills to the classroom through the use of SMART Boards and iPads.
