Cantor Sharon Knoller
A love of Jewish Music & Teaching
Cantor Sharon Knoller joined Temple Beth Shalom in July 2002. She is a superb Torah reader and an excellent b’nai mitzvah instructor. In addition to her Torah reading and her teaching, she has graced all of Temple Beth Shalom with her rich alto voice.
Cantor Knoller holds a Certificate of Jewish Music from Gratz College. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Elementary Education and Communicative Disorders and from Adelphi University with a Masters Degree in Special Education. Prior to joining Temple Beth Shalom, Cantor Knoller served as Cantorial Soloist and music and Hebrew teacher at Congregation B’nai Israel of Somerset Hills.
In addition to her Temple responsibilities, she also teaches Torah Trope to fifth graders at Golda Och Academy. Cantor Knoller is most proud of her success with hundreds of Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and the development of the Friday night Shabbat L’Khulam service, an inclusive, musical Shabbat service for congregants of ALL abilities.
Most importantly, she is proud to have become the mother of Aliya.
